COMING SOON: SECOND SEASON OF ‘ANONIEM’

In the second season of our crime series Anoniem (Anonymous), history teacher Jurre (Jeroen Spitzenberger) and Public Prosecutor Saar (Anniek Pheifer) return for a battle that is more dangerous, personal, and unpredictable than ever before.

At the conclusion of Season 1, their estranged family found its way back together. Following a confrontation with top criminal Chris Cabo, Jurre and Saar now stand united at the helm of Anoniem: a movement of citizens who refuse to accept the growing violence in the Netherlands any longer.

However, the success of Anoniem comes at a price. The violence of the past is taking its toll on Saar, while Jurre desperately tries to keep their son, Boet, under control. Meanwhile, their daughter Ella and her girlfriend Mia are at odds over just how far Anoniem should go in their fight.

Threats from Every Angle The danger approaches from all sides: a newly released Chris Cabo is out for revenge, and the widow of Van Zetten has opened the hunt. Help from the police and judicial system is nowhere to be found, as authorities view Anoniem as a threat to the rule of law.

As the movement grows, the family slowly begins to crumble. How far can a citizen movement go? And how much is a family willing to sacrifice to protect each other—and their country?

Broadcast Information

Season 2 of Anoniem premieres on January 8. It will air every Thursday at 21:30 and Friday at 22:05 on BNNVARA on NPO 1 and NPO Start.

Anoniem is once again written and directed by Diederik van Rooijen.

The cast features Jeroen Spitzenberger, Anniek Pheifer, Mies van Rooijen, Sil van der Zwan, Xiorèse Romero, Teun Luijkx, Marcel Hensema, Tarikh Janssen, Roeland Fernhout, Peter Blok, Marieke Heebink, Nhung Dam, and Amazone Gonsalves.
