Horizon Film Signs Exclusive Deal with Bobby Boermans

Horizon Film has signed an exclusive deal with Director Bobby Boermans . Building on the massive success of our feature film iHostage, the partnership will focus on developing and producing high-end feature films and series with strong international appeal.

Boermans ranks among the Netherlands' most prominent directors, known for hit series including Mocro Maffia and The Golden Hour (Het Gouden Uur). With iHostage, he delivered the most-watched Dutch Netflix film of all time - surpassing 70 million streams - solidifying his reputation as a director of intense, visually driven thrillers. Under the Horizon Film banner, Boermans will develop and direct a slate of ambitious new projects over the coming years.

"Following our collaboration on iHostage, it quickly became clear that Horizon Film is the ideal home for the ambitious, audience-driven projects I want to make," said Boermans. Horizon Film is led by producers Sabine Brian and Boudewijn Rosenmuller. Through titles such as Sphinx, SUGA, and iHostage, the duo has rapidly established the company as a leading production powerhouse for premium drama and genre titles.
