Production Begins on 'Dochters'
We are excited to announce that filming has started on our newest co-production: the gripping Videoland Original drama series, Dochters (Daughters).
As a whodunit that explores how a community unravels under the weight of suspicion, this project is one we're very happy to be part of. Produced by the exceptional team of Wilder Content, Dochters is a story that will keep audiences guessing until the very last frame.
The Story
Set around the idyllic Lake Hooidonk—an exclusive enclave where everyone knows everyone—the peace is shattered when sixteen-year-old Noor is found lifeless in the water after a late-night boat trip with her best friend, Ayla.
Was it a tragic accident, or does something far more sinister lie beneath the surface? As the shockwaves ripple through the tight-knit community, long-standing bonds of friendship and family are pushed to their absolute breaking point. Dochters is a suspenseful thriller about loyalty, growing up, and the complex friction between parents and children. It forces us to confront a terrifying question: How well do we truly know the people closest to us?

The series is being produced by Wilder Content and directed by Anthony Schatteman. The series was written by screenwriters Roel Mondelaers and Bert Van Dael. Horizon Film is attached as co-producer.
Where to Watch
Release Update: The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027. Viewers in the Netherlands will be able to stream it on Videoland, while our audience in Flanders can catch it via VRT and Proximus.
